Lucas Ranzan

Chemical Engineer with experience in developing machine learning and data mining algorithms. He is a postdoctoral researcher in Chemical Engineering at UFRGS, working in the Process Intensification, Modeling, Simulation, Control and Optimization Group (GIMSCOP), where he also received his Mes's and Doctoral degrees in Engineering. In 2018, he completed his doctoral research period at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany, where he investigated the application of optimization algorithms for the modernization of industrial processes. As a Chemical Engineer and specialist in the development of virtual sensors, he is passionate about how the union between data and technology can optimize and improve the world around him.
