Lucas Ranzan

Chemical Engineer with experience developing machine learning and data mining algorithms. He is a postdoctoral fellow in Chemical Engineering at UFRGS, working in the Process Intensification, Modeling, Simulation, Control, and Optimization Group (GIMSCOP), where he also received his Mes's and Doctorate degrees in Engineering. In 2018, he completed a PhD sandwich program at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany, where he researched the application of optimization algorithms to modernize industrial processes. As a Chemical Engineer and specialist in the development of virtual sensors, he is passionate about how data and technology can combine to optimize and enhance the world around us.
