#DICADANO: 5 books recommended by our cyborgs

We are driven by challenges and are committed to always learning and putting new knowledge into practice. It's no coincidence that learning is one of NEO's core values. We encourage our Cyborgs to pursue their studies, seeking knowledge for both their personal and professional lives. And there's nothing better than learning and sharing that knowledge. Here at NEO, we have a shared library – the one in the photo above – and all Cyborgs can choose the titles they want to read. Therefore, we've prepared a list of 5 books recommended by our team. The works range from essential guides to production engineering to how to define methodologies that unite the team towards common goals. Check out our Cyborgs' favorite titles and leave your suggestion in the comments.1 – The GoalWe've previously talked on the blog about Eliyahu M. Goldratt, one of the greatest gurus of production engineering, and we couldn't open this selection with any other title. Mes30 years after its release, The Goal remains one of the best-selling books in the business field. The central theme of the book is the Theory of Constraints, which seeks to analyze the bottlenecks in industries and how to overcome them efficiently, generating the best results. This is a must-read and keep as a bedside guide!

2 – HolacracyBeyond Learning, Autonomy is also part of NEO's values. Our structure and work environment are shared by everyone, and hierarchies are practically nonexistent. Many of our company are inspired by Holacracy, a management system that encourages organizations to view each employee as a leader, making decision-making more agile and flexible.

3 – Evaluate what matters. It's undeniable that clear objectives and key results make the team more coordinated and engaged in shared plans. And it's this methodology, proposed by John Doerr, that we follow at NEO. Through OKRs, we are able to exercise two of our values: Autonomy in executing tasks aligned with pre-defined objectives and Diligence in achieving key results. 4 – Pivoting to the Future: Discover Value and Generate Growth in a Disruptive World. This book is all about NEO and its purpose of creating a new concept in consulting and its emphasis on cutting-edge technology and constant learning. We are disruptive, and disruption is the central theme of this work, which suggests how to maintain a strategy of continuous reinvention to survive, grow, and be relevant for the future. Based on the authors' real-life experiences, Pivoting to the Future describes how to transform threats and use technologies to ensure the growth of organizations.
